Exclusions
An exclusion is a filter that hides rows from consideration entirely in any analyses or queries involving the dataset (i.e., the dataset behaves as if these rows do not exist).
Creating an exclusion
To create an exclusion:
- Click the dataset name in the left Folder Sidebar. Make sure you have editing permissions for it (shown by an unlocked icon in the top right).
- Select the Exclude cases option from the drop-down list.
The Exclusion interface is similar to the Filter Builder and creating exclusions is similar to how you build a filter. Note that a dataset can only have a single exclusion, but the exclusion can include multiple variables.
