Hiding or removing cases (rows)
This article is part of The Definitive Guide to Uploading and Preparing Data
You may like to remove respondents (rows) from a survey. Perhaps they should have been screened out (but weren't). Perhaps they are over-quota. Perhaps they have given inconsistent answers, are outliers, speedsters or straight-liners.
You can hide or remove them from a dataset. In Crunch, this is called Exclusions.
In the web app
- See: Creating Exclusions
- Using R, use exclusions (hiding responses) or droprows (deleting respondents)
