Multitables are Crunch's term for variables that are placed side-by-side in columns. This is similar to the concept of a "banner" in tab book creation.
Multitables are derivations and are not variables. Multitables are constructed from variables in the dataset or from filters (for individual columns).
Multitables are required if you (or the user) want to creat tabs/tab books.
Multitables can be created by the researcher independently, or, they can be set up in advance by a data processing team (or both). Existing multitables can be edited.
